1. What is the difference between each M.S. System?
Each M.S. System is designed to custom fit specific garden tank sprayers. That's the only difference! All M.S. Systems do the same thing, and their only difference is in the pieces that allow them to connect to a variety of garden tank sprayers.
2. Do we make systems for Round Up, Chapin and other brand HANDHELD tank sprayers?
The short answer is no, but read further to find out why!
We don't recommend any handheld tank sprayers that don't have a shoulder strap OR have the ability to clip the trigger handle into the pump handle. Without these features, it is very awkward for the user to hold two handles in one hand and also operate the trigger.
Home Depot & Hudson are the only handheld tank sprayers with the ability to clip the trigger handle into the pump handle (see above photo). This feature makes it easy for the user because they only have to hold one handle, their thumb naturally rests on the valve of the trigger, and ultimately it makes for easy and comfortable use of the M.S. System.
Bottom line: The easy grip of the Home Depot and Hudson tanks cannot be matched with other handheld tanks that don't have the trigger handle clip or shoulder strap option.
3. Why don't we use a misting nozzle tip?
In our testing, misting nozzle tips restricted the nice flow of liquid being dispensed out of the nozzle. The misting tip nozzle drastically increased the amount of time it took to cover a large area and do it throughly. We noticed that professional backpack mist sprayers don't use mist tips either. Another major disadvantage to mist nozzle tips are they require cleaning after each use due to the very fine holes on the tip that clog easily. The M.S. System nozzle does not require any cleaning or maintenance and sprays large areas quickly!
Our nozzle concept is similar to that of a professional backpack mist blower nozzle which drops liquid into the middle of the blower tube, and the blower turns the liquid into a mist. The M.S. System nozzle works in the same fashion and is universal to all blower tubes because you can adjust the height of the liquid delivery to the center of your blower tube (see comparison photo).

4. Why don't we have a diffuser cap on the end of the M.S. System nozzle to direct the spray pattern?
A diffuser cap must be tight against the blower tube in order to work effectively because if any air flow escapes around the diffuser cap, the spray pattern becomes ineffective. The only way to ensure the diffuser cap tightness on the blower tube is if the user modified their blower tube by drilling a hole in the blower tube about 4" from the diffuser cap. We don't want M.S. System buyers to have to make any alterations to their blower tubes because we are all about EASY use around here!
A diffuser cap will restrict air flow. Leaf blowers have very high CFM's and need to flow freely. "Over-Speed Seizures" to the leaf blower engine can happen when airflow is restricted at the end of the blower tube. Our nozzle design has minimal blower tube obstruction keeping your leaf blower's engine healthy.
5. How important is droplet size when spraying?
In our testing, it hasn't been very important to get effective results. The most important factor is getting the insecticide on the underside of leaves where the mosquitoes live and using the forceful blowing power from a leaf blower accomplishes the easiest and fastest.
Many insecticide product labels such as Proflex, our #1 overall recommended product for bug control, recommend a larger droplet size versus a fine mist to reduce chance of spray drift, see Proflex Specimen Label.
We have a spraying technique video on our "Application Tips" page that Syngenta made to prove this. They use a Stihl professional backpack mist blower in the video. At the end of the video they use water sensitive paper that turns color. When the mist blower is properly used you can clearly see that there are so many droplets dispersed on the paper that the paper is a changed solid color with drip marks meaning the droplets aren't making a difference.
6. What droplet sizes will I get with the Mosquito Sniper System?
Each leaf blower has different CFM power so droplet size results will vary. The stronger the leaf blower, the smaller the droplets will be. We put an in-line valve near the end of the tubing to adjust the liquid amount being dispensed. For weaker leaf blowers, adjust the liquid so less is being dispensed.
7. How powerful should the leaf blower is needed?
It will work with any leaf blower however we recommend using a 375 CFM or higher leaf blower for great results.
